Chinese cabbage
We grow Chinese cabbage and pak choi (or bok choi). The variety I've been growing for a couple of years is Mei Qing Choi from Johnny's.
These are Asian greens with a thicker fibrous stem. They are good for stir fries and other recipes but do not freeze well. As a result we start six of them at a time so we don't have more than we can eat. The resources below suggest that Chinese cabbage might be a better fall crop than a spring crop.
Flea beetle damage
Our Chinese cabbages are routinely affected by flea beetles.
